CAFCA is the only cable manufacturing company in Zimbabwe. It was established in 1947 and is listed on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, Johannesburg Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchanges. CAFCA is part of CBi Electric African Cables (RSA), which in turn is owned by Reunert Limited (RSA).

MANUFACTURING STANDARDS
CAFCA manufactures products to international standards listed below in addition to making products to the customer’s own specifications.

MARKETS
CAFCA’s primary market is Zimbabwe although the organisation has made active exports footprint in Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Tanzania, Democratic Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, South Africa, Zambia and Botswana.
CAFCA’s competitive edge in the market derives from its short delivery lead times, competitive pricing and extensive product range. Our multi-skilled staff and multi-purpose machinery present CAFCA with the flexibility to better serve the company's customers.
CAFCA also recovers decommissioned cables for recycling within a legal and environmentally friendly framework. Recovered cables can be exchanged for other products within our manufacturing range.

CAFCA’s management systems are underpinned on Business Excellence, a philosophy which focuses on business strategy, customer delight, market orientation, continual improvement, team work and structured problem solving.
Business Excellence is complemented by a mature Quality Management System based on accreditation to ISO 9001:2000 and also an Environmental Management System based on accreditation to ISO 14001:2004.
CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY
As part of environmental responsibility, CAFCA proudly stopped contributing to Landfills in November of 2019. Our operations are driven by sustainable waste solutions which reduce, reuse, recycle and recover all materials.
As part of corporate responsibility, CAFCA strives to increase permanent employment and takes on students on attachment as a contribution towards national manpower development.
